(Aug. 18, 2017) Senior Chief Machinist’s Mate (Nuclear) Buck Browning, master of ceremonies and assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), addresses chief petty officer (CPO) selectees during the CPO Legacy Academy graduation in front of the museum ship USS Turner Joy. The selectees spent the week living, working, and training aboard the Vietnam War-era ship along with a group of CPO mentors who provided leadership and training on naval history as well as the heritage of the CPO community.
