170811-M-AS512-007 SIGONELLA, Sicily (Aug. 11, 2017) Sailors assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa (SPMAGTF-CR-AF LCE), logistics combat element, provide notional medical care during the II Marine Expeditionary Force commanding general’s visit at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily. The Naval Forward Resuscitative Surgical System/Role II Sailors provide surgical care when rapid casualty transport to a hospital with surgical facilities is unavailable. Marines and Sailors assigned to SPMAGTF-CR-AF LCE support operations, contingencies and security cooperation efforts in the U.S. Africa Command area of responsibility.
