170810-N-XC372-259 PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 10, 2017) The guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill (CG 52) and aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) conduct an underway replenishment in the Pacific Ocean. Theodore Roosevelt and Bunker Hill are underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests a carrier strike group’s mission-readiness and ability to perform as an integrated unit through simulated real-world scenarios.
