170805-XN177-252 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Aug. 5, 2017) People tour the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65) at Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka’s annual Friendship Day celebration. More than 50,000 people participated in the open base event highlighting the friendship between the U.S. Navy and the host nation of Japan. FLEACT Yokosuka provides, maintains and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and 26,000 military and civilian personnel.
