Matthew Williamson, the safety officer aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), briefs tiger cruise participants in the mess decks of the ship. A tiger cruise allows friends and family members of Sailors to embark the ship to experience U.S. Navy life at sea. Wasp is underway acquiring certifications in preparation for their upcoming homeport shift to Sasebo, Japan where they are slated to relieve the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) in the 7th Fleet area of operations.
