The TTC visit was one of many GDO activities designed to educate and attract rising 8th and 9th grade girls to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic develops, acquires and provides life cycle support for command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, information technology and space capabilities.
