170722-N-PQ607-035 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 22, 2017) - Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Albert Kelsey, assigned to USS Chafee (DDG 90), signals boat davit operator to lower the rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) along side the ship during boat operations. Chafee is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of responsibility in support of UNITAS 2017. UNITAS is an annual exercise that focuses on strengthening our existing regional partnerships and encourages establishing new relationships through the exchange of maritime mission-focused knowledge and expertise throughout the exercise.
