170718-N-JT445-164 YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 18, 2017) Hiroshi Yamada, a ship interior communication electrician, demonstrates a process of sheath removals from cables to passing booth visitors at the first improvement activity exhibition held at the Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC), Yokosuka headquarters. Twenty-three teams, including one from the Sasebo detachment and one from NAVSEA, shared the results of their projects to all hands during the all-day event. SRF-JRMC provides ship maintenance and modernization for Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet forces using advanced industrial techniques while keeping the 7th Fleet operationally ready.
