170706-N-UM507-120 SINGAPORE STRAIT (July 6, 2017) An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the “Eightballers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 8, takes off from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in the Singapore Strait. Nimitz is on deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. The U.S. Navy has patrolled the Indo-Asia Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
