170622-N-SA412-011 NORFOLK (June 22, 2017) Sailors assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) conduct a stern gate marriage with Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1654, assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 2, during a training evolution. Wasp is preparing for their upcoming homeport shift to Sasebo, Japan, where they are slated to relieve the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
