170621-N-BY095-0033 Pacific Ocean (June 21, 2017) Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86) secure a Mark 46 Mod 5A torpedo prior to hoisting it from the flight deck. Shoup is on an underway period in the U.S. 7th fleet area of operations. The U.S. Navy has patrolled the Indoor-Asia-Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
