170610-N-GF980-005 GALVESTON, Texas (June 10, 2017) Vice Chief of Naval Operations Adm. William Moran turns over command of the littoral combat ship USS Gabrielle Giffords (LCS 10) to Cmdr. Keith Woodley during a commissioning ceremony held at the Port of Galveston, Texas. Giffords is the ninth LCS to enter the fleet and the fifth of the Independence variant.
