170605-N-FM530-082 MEDITERRANEAN SEA (June 5, 2017) A rigid-hull inflatable boat approaches the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) during small boat operations. The ship is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (24th MEU) to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operations.
