During the ceremony, 258 Sailors who were selected for advancement to the next rank received the authority to assume the title and wear the uniform of the next higher pay grade. John C. Stennis is conducting a planned incremental availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, during which the ship is undergoing scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
