170602-N-N0901-004 SWINOUJSCIE, Poland (June 2, 2017) The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24) is moored in the Port of Swinoujscie, Poland during the in port portion of exercise BALTOPS. The annual U.S.-led, Striking and Support Forces NATO-executed, multinational maritime exercise in the Baltic Sea region and is designed to enhance flexibility and interoperability among its participants. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint, and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
