The Nimitz will lead Carrier Strike Group 11, which includes the guided-missile destroyers USS Shoop (DDG 86) and USS Kidd (DDG 100), USS Howard (DDG 83), USS Pinckney (DDG 91) and the guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59).
