170527-N-RF885-081 GULF OF TADJOURA, Djibouti (May 27, 2017) Patrol boats assigned to Coastal Riverine Squadron (CRS) 1 maneuver through the Gulf of Tadjoura, Djibouti, after completing an escort mission for the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG-103). CRS-1 is forward-deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquarter in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint, and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
