(May 24, 2017) Michael Wright, a U.S. Navy natural resource specialist, places a box turtle back into its habitat as Danene Birtell, middle, oil programs director for Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research Inc., and Michelle Carrera, a response resources specialist, assist at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Va. Animals were recovered by U.S. Department of Agriculture from areas affected by the Wolfsnare Creek fuel spill, and were rehabilitated by Tri-State veterinarians at a specialized facility in Delaware.
