170509-N-CJ185-0003 SAIPAN (May 9, 2017) A Sailor assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 5 uses an acoustic signaling device to receive status updates from an unmanned underwater vehicle aboard a MK VI patrol boat off the coast of Saipan. EODMU-5 is testing its ability to deploy assets from various platforms, including helicopters and patrol boats, to increase its adaptive interoperability.
