170507-N-TC-514 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 7, 2017) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102) steams along San Celemente Island during a Mark 45 5-inch gun pac fire exercise while conducting a group sail training unit exercise. Group sail is a pre-deployment underway which allows the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group to conduct exercises together in a maritime environment.
