(April 8, 2017) The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Systems Center Atlantic hosted the fifth annual Palmetto Cyber Defense Competition at Trident Technical College in Charleston, S.C. During the competitions, students from each school formed teams that operated and secured the network of a small shipping company. The teams were challenged to properly configure/reconfigure an IT network, add new services, and respond to additional requirements while defending against hackers attempting to disrupt their network.
