170322-N-OX430-293 ARABIAN GULF (March 22, 2017) Cmdr. Christian P. Goodman and Cmdr. Justin T. Fauntleroy fly over the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) in E-2C Hawkeyes assigned to the "Bear Aces" of Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 124. Cmdr. Goodman relieved Cmdr. Fauntleroy as commanding officer of VAW-124 during an aerial change of command. The George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
