170322-N-JI086-164 MEDITERRANEAN SEA (March 22, 2017) Sailors assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78) conduct flight operations with a Westland WG-13 Lynx helicopter assigned to the French navy frigate FS Montcalm (D 642) during exercise Dynamic Manta 2017. The annual multilateral Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) exercise is meant to develop interoperability and proficiency in anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare. Porter is forward- deployed to Rota, Spain, conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
