170318-N-KT595-328 NORTH ISLAND, Calif. (March 18, 2017) Families of Sailors assigned to the littoral combat ship Crew 103 welcome their returning Sailors during a homecoming celebration at Naval Air Station North Island. Crew 103 was relieved by Crew 111 aboard the Freedom-class littoral combat ship USS Detroit (LCS 7). Detroit is a fast and agile warship tailor made to patrol the region's littorals and work hull-to-hull with partner navies, providing the fleet with the flexible capabilities it needs now and in the future.
