170217-N-WA189-382 OKINAWA, Japan (Feb. 17, 2017) Seabees, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, and Marines with Golf Co., Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit crawl across a wire obstacle as part of one of 31 obstacles that make up the endurance course at the Jungle Warfare Training Center (JWTC) onboard Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa, Japan. JWTC exposes Marines and Sailors to training situations and environments unique to the Indo-Asia-Pacific region which sustain operational readiness and enhance forward deployed capabilities. NMCB-5 is the forward deployed Western Pacific NMCB ready to support Major Combat Operations, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations, and to provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps, and joint operational forces.
