170113-N-OR477-154 ROTA, Spain (Jan. 13, 2017) Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Porsche Hamilton, assigned to Naval Munitions Command, Detachment Rota, moves a forklift carrying an MK 48 inert training torpedo into place for a pre-loading inspection onboard Naval Station Rota, Spain. The exercise was designed to demonstrate the U.S. Navy's capability to load ordnance onto naval vessels in non-traditional locations, and is the first in a series of expeditionary weapons loading events planned for the next year in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
