170110-N-CW570-0123 CALINOG, Philippines (Jan. 10, 2017) A Philippine army soldier assigned to the Philippine army 53rd Engineer Brigade applies stucco during a humanitarian assistance construction project with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 at Maltibog National High School in Calinog, Philippines. NMCB-5 is the forward deployed, the western Pacific NMCB, ready to support Major Combat Operations, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations. They provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces.
