170922-N-JW440-0645 DOMINICA (Sept. 22, 2017) An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) flies over the island Dominica during U.S. citizen evacuation efforts in the wake of Hurricane Maria. The Department of Defense is supporting U.S. Agency of International Development (USAID) in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
