170701-N-ES994-028 CHICAGO (July 1, 2017) Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson and comedian Jon Stewart cheer athletes competing in the Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games at Soldier Field in Chicago during the opening ceremony. The Warrior Games run until July 8. The athletes will test their abilities in seven adaptive sports: archery, cycling, track and field, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming and wheelchair basketball. Team Navy is comprised of athletes from Navy Wounded Warrior - Safe Harbor, the Navy's sole organization for coordinating the non-medical care of seriously wounded, ill, and injured Sailors and Coast Guard members, providing resources and support to their families.
