181224-N-ZH597-1031 VISAKHAPATNAM, India (Dec. 24, 2018) Sailors assigned to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and Marines assigned to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) prepare tomatoes during a community relations project hosted by the Akshaya Patra Foundation in Visakhapatnam, India. Anchorage is deployed as a part of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and 13th MEU. The Essex ARG/13th MEU is a capable and lethal Navy-Marine Corps team deployed to the U.S.7th fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis including humanitarian assistance.
