181224-M-YR007-1000 VISAKHAPATNAM, India (Dec. 24, 2018) U.S. Navy Sailors with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) listen to an Indian medical officer speak about the Naval hospital during a medical subject matter expert exchange in Visakhapatnam, India. The Sailors are embarked aboard USS Anchorage (LPD 23), which is deployed with the Essex ARG. Their mission is partnership strengthening during the visit to Visakhapatnam, India. The Essex ARG and 13th MEU are a capable and lethal Navy-Marine Corps team deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to support regional stability, reassure partners and allies and maintain a presence postured to respond to any crisis ranging from humanitarian assistance to contingency operations.
