181213-N-RM689-1541 SAN DIEGO (Dec. 13, 2018) Stuart Hadley, president of the Pearl Harbor Survivor Association, says goodbye to Chief Quartermaster Raymond Chavez, previously the oldest survivor of the Dec. 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, during the funeral service at Miramar National Cemetery. Chavez passed away peacefully in his sleep Nov. 21 at age 106. He was stationed aboard the minesweeper USS Condor (AMC 14) during the attack.
