181213-N-RM689-1343 SAN DIEGO (Dec. 13, 2018) An honor team prepares to fold the American flag during the memorial service at Miramar National Cemetery for Chief Quartermaster Raymond Chavez, previously the oldest survivor of the Dec. 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Chavez passed away peacefully in his sleep Nov. 21 at age 106. He was stationed aboard the minesweeper USS Condor (AMC 14) during the attack.
