181207-N-TP834-0011 SAN DIEGO (Dec. 7, 2018) Sailors assigned to the guided-missile destroyer Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Michael Monsoor (DDG 1001) man the rails as they pass Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, rendering honors to the gravesite of the ship’s namesake’s, Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Michael Monsoor. The future USS Michael Monsoor is the second ship in the Zumwalt-class of guided-missile destroyers. The ship is scheduled to be commissioned into the Navy Jan. 26, 2019, in Coronado, Calif.
