181120-N-HV627-1274 CHINHAE, Republic of Korea (Nov. 20, 2018) Builder 2nd Class David Balcom-Alvarez, from Fremont, Mich., assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, Detachment Chinhae, uses a compaction sled to smooth and compact sand for the installation of a drainage ditch as part of a project to repave a roadway onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Chinhae. NMCB-3 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
