181117-N-ET577-095 KOA MOANA, Micronesia (Nov. 17, 2018) Seabees assigned to Construction Diving Detachment Charlie (CDDC) from Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 2, perform engineering assessments, topographic surveys, and bathymetric surveys during deployment exercise Koa Moana throughout November 2018. Koa Moana is an exercise with The One Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) designed to operationalize the Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) by deploying to designated countries throughout the Marines Corps Forces, Pacific (MARFORPAC) area of operation. Koa Moana involved military-to-military engagements and theater security capability operations to strengthen partner military and security capabilities.
