181103-M-PJ332-043 TINIAN, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Nov. 3, 2018) U.S. Navy Seabees, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1, work with citizens of the community to build a temporary shelter during Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) relief efforts in response to Super Typhoon Yutu. Businesses, government buildings, homes and schools were heavily damaged by Yutu, which made a direct hit with devastating effect on Tinian, Oct. 25, 2018, packing 170 mph winds. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and Combat Logistics Battalion 31 have been leading a multi-service contingent since Oct. 29, 2018, as part of the FEMA-directed mission.
