The Blue Angels are the U.S. Navy’s flight demonstration squadron, with aviators from the Navy and Marine Corps. The Blue Angels were formed in 1946, making it the second oldest formal flying aerobatic team in the world. Since 1981, San Francisco Fleet Week has taken place each October, becoming a significant and integral part of the city's local culture and economy.
