(Oct. 5, 2018) Amphibious assault vehicles, attached to 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, depart Onslow Beach, N.C., enroute to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) during Type Commander Amphibious Training (TCAT), Oct. 5, 2018. The purpose of TCAT is for the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, their subordinate elements, and the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group to rehearse ship to shore maneuver and expeditionary command and control prior to exercise Trident Juncture 2018.
