The LCU is transporting a coastal rescue vehicle from the San Francisco Fire Department to Treasure Island to showcase the U.S. Navy’s capability to assist various entities during humanitarian assistance or disaster relief situations. This is the 38th iteration of Fleet Week San Francisco which allows the public to interact with service members of the U.S. Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard, and see various demonstration around the city.
