(Sept. 17, 2018) A Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) structural engineer conducts an aerial assessment of Hurricane Florence's damage to Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point's facilities, from inside an MH-60S Sea Hawk, attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Seven (HSC-7). While most of the aircraft under the command of Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic have returned to their home bases, some assets will remain underway or stand-by in a ready status, prepared to provide defense support to civilian authority (DSCA) or logistics support if requested through U.S. Northern Command.
