180907-N-RI884-0219 PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 7, 2018) A Sailor aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) observes an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to the “Island Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25, and an AS-332 Super Puma helicopter, fly over the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) during a vertical replenishment. Wasp and Ashland, part of the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, are operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready response force for any type of contingency.
