180830-N-IC246-0204
180830-N-IC246-0204 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 30, 2018) The guided-missile destroyers USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98), front, and USS Mason (DDG 87), left, and the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) transit the Atlantic Ocean in formation as part of a photo exercise in support of dual-carrier sustainment and qualification operations with the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). In addition to demonstrating the Navy’s inherent flexibility and scalability, this evolution provides the opportunity to conduct complex, multi-unit training to enhance maritime interoperability and combat readiness; prepare the Navy to protect our homeland; and preserve and promote peace anywhere around the world.
