180810-N-N0101-429 WASHINGTON (Aug. 10, 2018) An undated photo of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory's Wide-Field Imager for Solar Probe (WISPR) is pictured at NRL’s lab under development for the historic NASA Parker Solar Probe mission scheduled for launch Aug. 11, 2018, at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. WISPR is the only instrument that will capture images of the Sun's atmosphere on a NASA mission to "touch the Sun" and study the Sun's effects on many of the technologies that the U.S. Navy relies on to conduct missions around the world.
