180725-N-GX781-0030 ROATAN, Honduras (July 25, 2018) Boatswain's Mate 1st Class James Lindsey supervises Sailors during sea and anchor detail as the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44) departs from Roatan, Honduras, following a scheduled port visit. The Gunston Hall is on deployment supporting Southern Seas, which is an annual collaborative deployment in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility where a task group will deploy to conduct a variety of exercises and multinational exchanges to enhance interoperability, increase regional stability, and build and maintain regional relationships with countries throughout the region through joint, multinational and interagency exchanges and cooperation.
