Spencer cuts the cake with the recruit award winners at a post-graduation reception, June 29, 2018 at Midway Ceremonial Drill Hall at Recruit Training Command (RTC). Spencer served as the reviewing officer for the pass-in-review graduation ceremony where more than 650 recruits graduated from the Navy’s only boot camp. Spencer was making his second visit to RTC since being named secretary of the Navy on Aug. 3, 2017. About 38,000 to 40,000 recruits graduate annually from RTC.
