180623-N-VB296-012 ATLANTIC OCEAN (June 23, 2018) The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) is underway during a live-fire weapons exercise. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) is completing the Navy’s first east coast ARG surface warfare amphibious tactical training exercise which is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center and designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality and interoperability of participating units.
