180623-N-HG389-103 ATLANTIC OCEAN (June 23, 2018) The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24) fires its Mark 46 30mm gun while underway in formation ahead of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) is completing the Navy’s first east coast ARG surface warfare amphibious tactical training exercise, which is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center and designed to increase warfighting proficiency, lethality and interoperability of participating units.
