(June 14, 2018) Marine Corps veteran Chris Small walks along the shores of the beach city and gets ready to surf along with other patients from Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) Surf Clinic. The day also marked NMCSD Surf Clinic’s 10th anniversary celebration, and Small has been a patient with the Surf Clinic for 10 years. The clinic is coordinated by the Health and Wellness department to rehabilitate wounded, ill and injured service members through exercise and recreational therapy to improve their level of function and mobility.
