180602-N-PH222-0218 PACIFIC OCEAN (June 2, 2018) Sailors assigned to San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23) participate in a man overboard drill by lowering a search and rescue swimmer into the water during a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is the final pre-deployment exercise which certifies the combined Essex Amphibious Ready Group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s abilities to conduct military operations at sea and project power ashore during their upcoming deployment in summer of 2018.
